I have a Snorkel 96B208, but somehow the inner rotating bezel 8777789-4987 does not turn and needs to be replaced. I like the watch but wish it to function perfectly. Anybody has an idea where can i get this part (I tried Bulova service with no avail)?. Thanks, Jadranko

Once you understand the history, and all those aspects about movement and improvements throughout time , how the company stops production, the symbol used and removed from dials, the upgraded 2020 version , then you will understand why preference of battery than mechanical on the wrists when accutron characterized , it is a one of it’s kind timepiece, bulova accutron snorkel II blue face , inner rotational bezel, spirit of the past , actual technology , keeping identity .

In reply to Sönke. 21.6k to 28.8k bph equate to 6-8 ticks per second, not 3-4 as stated by your post.

I got the Snorkel version with white/orange bazel and black dial…
It’s one of my favourite watches.

Writing this while wearing my Bulova Military UHF.
It really, really sweeps that smooth, man!
The watch gained a mere 9.1 secs in total between Jan/2018 and Jan/2019.
Another plus: Bulova ultra high frequency watches can be had for below 150 USD, if you take your time to look around a little.
I also own a dressy “Bulova Surveyor” chronograph with a red whine colour shimmering dial that gets me compliments from non watch snob women every once in a while.
Guess battery live could be 10 yrs instead of 2 if it weren’t for the sweep, but I wouldn’t have it otherwise.

I’m wearing and loving my blue version. Mesh is fabulous (I use an aftermarket; my watch came with a butterfly clasp coffin style bracelet, which doesn’t do much for me), and also NATOs. It’s so 70s! Not overly heavy, but not light. . . yeah, if I was Bulova, I’d knock it down a couple of millimeters—-perhaps being in NYC makes the Bulova folks go glam-size.
